Born in Accra Ghana, Sonniballi aka The Soul Healer, has always had a
passion for music. Growing up listening to inspirational artists like
Kenny Rogers, Isaac Hayes & Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Sonnialli has
developed a raw talent that merges the vibrant sounds of High Life with
the conscious spiritual vibe of Root Reggae.In 2001 Sonniballi was signed to Badhabbits Entz. by the CEO Bright Okah. Since then, he has released a number of hit singles including ‘Oh Why’ closely followed by ‘When Your Gone’ which was nominated for ‘The Best Reggae Music Of The Year’ award 2011 and ‘All They See’ which was nominated for ‘The Best Reggae Song of The Year’ award 2012, both in Ghana.
Today, Sonniballi continues to collaborate with the best, including international dancehall superstars Busy Signal & Kiprich. The trio headlined ‘Resolution 2012′ at the Dome Accra, Ghana. The reaction to this event from both the public and industry alike was amazing, firmly cementing Sonniballi’s place in the world music scene.
