THE AGEING Musicians Welfare Fund (AMWF) of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) on Wednesday morning organised a health screening exercise and distribution of cash to beneficiaries of the Fund at the MUSIGA office in Accra.
The health screening exercise was open to all Ghanaian ageing musicians and sportsmen while the cash distribution was restricted to beneficiaries of the Fund.
The exercise formed part of AMWF’s programme for the year 2015.
Other activities lined up for beneficiaries of AMWF include a musical tour to generate income for members.
Last year, the Fund did some cash distributions to members in the Southern and Northern sectors of the country. Members of AMWF performed at MUSIGA’s Grand Ball and the Asanteman Arts Ball held at the end of last year.
The health screening exercise was supported by Danpong Pharmacy.
