The state of Re-producing upcoming artiste’s song by already hit artiste is growing wings in the Ghana music Industry. In the early part of the year 2014 Guru and some other artiste were on the list on Stealing songs…. Now there is another scandal!!
Information reaching me Dwomtonii Konkonsani indicates that Bisa Kdei’s newly released song “SAA”, is a stolen tune from one O’tion, Producer and Singer who is in charge of Rainbow Studio at Ablekuma, and who produced Dobble's hit single "Good Mood". He has been calling me over the past days that his song “Ewiase” has Fraudulently been re-produced by the “Metamfo” Hit maker Bisa Kdei.
Bisa Kdei, whose song is always of surpassing excellence, has now come into conflict over a song produced by O’tion titled “EWIASE” which he, O’tion planned to release in the near future. According to O’tion, He recorded the song about a couple of months ago and decided to release it in the near future because he just released a high life tune ‘Bra’ which he featured Dobble and wanted to promote it for a while. Being a good engineer, he decided to send his song “EWIASE” to one Dj Ligan Kofi of beyond 90.7 fm in Volta region to listen to and share his comment on his (o'tion) mixing because the Dj have a good ear for pointing out good music. And due to the good and distinguishing work done by O’tion, Dj Ligan was greatly impressed and fell in love with the song. Later, he forwarded it to his whatsapp contacts including Zabrous who seemed to be a brother of Bisa Kdei, also a rapper.
After a short period of time when Zabrous had also listened to the song and enjoyed it, he requested for O’tion's number from Dj Ligan and told him he wanted to call O’tion so that they can work together, because he felt the work done by him was unique, though he did not call, which made O’tion thought that he, Zabrous released the song to his brother Bisa Kdei.
After listening to the two songs, I realized the two songs followed the same concept and have similar rythm. Though O’tion had already said so, but his statement wasn’t evident enough for me so I digged a bit deeper to discover the date he sent the song to Dj Ligan and I found out it was earlier than when Kdei released his "SAA" song.
After confirming the original date the song was sent to DJ Ligan Kofi, I told my boss to contact Bisa Kdei for his side of the story but he laughed it off and said O'tion must be confused. I have included with this story the two songs so you, our dear readers can also make your judgement by listening to both.
